Yesterday EDL had 2 more matches were played:

Kuria vs zik and Guard vs draven

Guard didn’t really have any problems winning vs draven, but Kuria and zik were equal opponents. Check the whole story.

  Kuria vs zik:

There were 3 maps played - pt4, hub and ztn. Let’s first analize pro-q3tourney4:

 On pt4 aim plays really a major role and the rail control is one of the important elements of playing the map. Kuria’s aim was really great, he railed a lot and as a result got 91 shot from rail till the end of the game! 40% of all the shots hit the target and that is probably why zik couldn’t do anything agains French player. He tried to make a comeback in the end but it was to late. Final score:

On hub Kuria was leading from the beginning of the match, but as it usually happens (especially on hub) players often lose frags in the end. First everything was in Kuria’s way, he overaimed his opponent and controled the map. But after zik’s return he couldn’t do a lot of stuff. Final score:

ztn3tourney1:

On ztn two players were fighting for some points in the group-stage. Both players were making mistakes which cost them some problems. But in the end French player lost a lot of frags in 5 minutes and it decided the victory in zik’s favor. Zik used some defense and finished the match. zik [2:1] Kuria!

Guard vs draven

Guard seems to be very strong now. He showed good performance recently and met Cypher on the last QQC finals. He had no problems with well know player draven. Two maps were played - hub and ztn.

Neither of players really dominated on the map. draven was showing good aim from railgun, but Guard used lightning gun and rocket a lot. Last few minutes Guard was better playing the map. He won 39-27:

ztn3tourney1:

Guard had better timing and better rail (44% with 70 shots!). The game was really tough. But still recent results shows that Guard has a better shape and that’s what rules in Quake! Guard  [2:0]  draven:
