OpenCup Spring organized by ClanBase has started in April. Almost all the matches in play-off are played now. There are 4 groups - with 6 players. Of course some of them didn’t appear on the tourney. But still such noticeable players are participating:

abso and known for organization policy - 
Hawr1x. Let’s have a look at the leaders in each group.
Today at 19:00 will be a good match between to East European guys - 
Cypher and 
stalq3r! Last time they faced each other, Ukrainian guy could overcome Belorus player in one set [2:1], but lost in another [0:2] (he was coming from LB). Now it’s time to see who’s really the best around! It has to be interesting so join the GTV Krytie: 147.32.30.24:27970 today at 19:00. Cypher is winning everything recently that’s why I guess it would be 2:0 in his favor, but still hope to see a great match! Good luck for both players!
The 
Spring Cup organized by ESL has come to an end. The last match was played yesterday and here’s the result of Grand Final:

- wdm3 - Bobel [26:0] loxer
All I can say is that Bobel played really amazing and everyone just has to watch the demos! Bobel recieved a premium account on ESL website. Congrats!

Guard didn’t really have any problems winning vs draven, but Kuria and zik were equal opponents. Check the whole story.
At last we have the final version of CNQ3 1.42, its brand new engine is only for CPMA and has some fixed commands etc. The errors while loading or reloading the map are now fixed.
Some of fixed features:
- bots can’t be kicked using the devmap command
- legacy cack like joystick/midi support only pollutes configs if enabled
- bugs with losing sound fixed
- com_soundmegs is fixed. Now you don’t need to set it as 32 Mb or higher. You can set 8 Mb or 10 Mb and use com_hunkmegs the same way.
- r_fastsky doesn’t close the portals (needs more testing)
- r_noportals isn’t a cheat command anymore
- there’s no models with MD4 format
- roqs now are linked with s_volume
- unlimited time for pak download from a server is fixed
- fixed ALL the dropped sound issues in snd_dma

Well known in tournament in 
Q2 scene called NDML had just ended. It was the #8 tournament and 
Finland managed to take gold over powerful 
Sweden team! Let’s have a short look from semi-finals:
- Ukraine had to play vs
Estonia, but they weren’t able, so [0:3] - Estonia won without any effort. - The second match between Sweden and Poland also ended [3:0]. Sweden was really stronger then their opponents.

Tonight at 21:00 CET - Bobel faces loxer, that comes from Losers bracket.
In Winners bracket finals the match between to mentioned players ended in Bobels favor. Some demos can be downloaded

In all three matches Bobel was victorious. In WB semi-finals - loxer won over 
Lo, and had to fight him again in LB finals - were he showed his skill again and match ended 2:1 in his favor.

Yesterday a game between #1German player - killsen and one of top Russian players 
Question met in European Duel League for Quake 3. There were 3 maps played - hub, dm6 and ztn. Killsen has been in the shadows recently, didn’t appear in any European leagues or tourneys. Question won the last QQC, but had some local defeats in Russia. Let’s check out the history of this match.

The ESWC UK was announced today and will be taking place on 7th and 8th June 2008 at Omega Sektor, Birmingham.

Counter-Strike and Track Mania Nations will be having an online qualification first ran by TheSGL.

First matches of Quake 3 European Duel League have been played. Organized by czech comunity with Hawr1x and Legie, this tourney invited 16 players that will compete for € 100 prize.
