Today the number of computer games fans on our planet reached 300 millions - tells IDC! The fact is that every second person, from this number, prefers real opponents in online games. On every 9 out of 10 computers is 1 or more computer games installed and 15 millions of gamers-enthusiasts feel that computer gaming is their main hobby in life.
According to IEAA organization the age of average gamer is 28 years and in 20014 it will reach 42! By the Intel poll results - 73% of parents think that games teach children about new technologies, 68% - think that it helps to improve logical thought, 64% - that it helps with planning own actions. In fact 1/3 of the gamers are parents and 80% play games with their children!

The main tournament of all Quakers - QuakeCon will begin in 3 months. But registration will open in 1 week. QuakeCon - is the #1 event for Quake addicted people, because it will have the best players of the world on it and all the spectators can watch the best games ever!
QuakeCon will take place on July 31 – August 3, 2008 in 
Dallas, TX at the Hilton Anatole Hotel. The tournament is free to attend for everyone, thanks to awesome staff of the QuakeCon volunteers, id Software, and the event sponsors and exhibitors.
Today will be the premier of the documentary cybersport movie - "FRAG" which will be in Dallas on international film festival - AFI. The aim of the film is to tell everyone, what’s happening in the background of the cybersport stage - money, parties, drugs and even death - all this touches gamers life too. The 
Razer Quake 3 Leagues in 1v1 and 2v2 had reached its final stage. The league was played online and now best of the teams/duel players will face each other on LAN in 
Moscow computer centre "4game". Of course the tourney had its own sensations, because of the comaback of huge number of players and teams and the Quake 3 revival!
The newest 
UT3 movie is called "The Abracadabra". In this movie we can observe good graphics, nice physics and dynamical movements. It also includes moments from Death Match and Capture The Flag. The picture is really pleasant to look at because of new UT3 engine.
Nice pictures, some tricks and good frags + soundtrack - all this makes "Abracadabra". So call up your jinn and make him download the video ^^
Few days ago a very nice Warsow race movie has been released - and it’s name "Sorbet". It was made under professional, high quality level. Everything is very harmonized - the music and the race by itself. If you like Quake 3 Defrag movies, try watching this and looking on the new abilities of game Warsow!

Quakeworld League. Because of the unusual maplist and rules the top Russian QW players didn’t attend the tourney. But still the demos are good! Have fun watching them!
