Yesterday, a game between  Poland and  Sweden was played in the  Quake Nations Cup Finals. While  Poland was in the WB, it was given 1 free point, but this couldn’t stop powerful  Sweden team.

 ESWC online matches that had to decide the participants for the final stage of Belgium national qualifiers have ended. They were organized by  Low Land Lions and  Gamevibez. There had to be 4 groups with 5 players in each group, but only 6 players showed up, and that’s why 2 groups with 3 players were formed. 2 players from each group qualified to the  Antwerp Esports Festival.

Results

  ESWC Ukraine has started its first matches. There are 11 players registered for the event, among them the players with most chances are:

•  Hunter
•  zloy
•  spider
•  Alf

It`s kind unexpecting that  stalq3r,  extreme and other strong Ukrainian players didn`t show up to the event. Still we will have a nice gallery after the event (and much more photos than from ESWC Russia). And of course we will upload the demos after the event.

We’ve uploaded 2 galleries to our website from ESWC Russia Grand Finals. As it always happens, Quake 3 scene was covered less than other games (even the demos aren’t uploaded yet!!!). Of course there were even more photos to upload (to the who-cares-games gallery), but we’ve decided to chose "the best", and to show the atmosphere and top players of the event. So enjoy and be a part of the event as well!

Recently only 2 demos are available, but still waiting for the upload. An amazing games performed by Nike, Makaveli and Cooller. Makaveli managed to win a map versus legendary Cooller and performed a nice play on the dm6 vs Nike. Check the demos!

The admins of the event didn’t upload the demos yet, and the info came that all the demos were deleted on the next day, but probably were saved by some admin. As a result we only have some demos, saved by Jibo (THX him a lot!) and uploaded to quaket.net and our website. If some new demos will appear, you’ll be able to upload them from our website.

This Sunday, Excello will be hosting 5th Warsow duel cup. Two years ago the first one was held and back than, Vo0 won over V!ct!M in the Finals.

We gladly announce you dates of the final matches of both q3 competitions you were able to watch during the spring.

First of them is the final match of European Duel League, in which we will see a battle between the Belorussian player Cypher and the Russian player Killmaster (Dark). Cypher’s journey to the finals wasn’t much complicated. In the quarterfinals he beaten Killmaster’s teammate Question 3:0. In the semifinals he got a free win,because his opponent Guard wasn’t able to play the match due to his unstable connection. Killmaster in the quarterfinals faced Polish Zik, whom he defeated after the five-map match 3:2. In the semifinals Killmaster maybe a little surprisingly defeated the German ace Killsen 3:1. The final match will be played on sunday 22.6.2008 at 20:00 CET and as usually - BO5

After Hypno took the golden cup winning Madjar in the finals, a last match that had to end the first season of EuroCup XVII was a bronze match daddy vs GoHLink. The predictions were written before the match by Bane, who said the following:

"After the big final is played, we are left with the bronze final, the one that will decide who will walk away with €50,- of vouchers! After daddy and GoHLinK lost to Madjar and hypno, they will now face each other in the final bout of this 1v1 Duel tournament. It will mean closure for us sups and you people will have to find your fix at 4K and their 1v1 tournament for the summer. Back to the game however, two talented players will are going to be squaring off leaving only one winner.

UnrealTournament, the game that has been around for almost a decade and seems to be indestructible is still one of the more popular ones.
Not just because it is probably the only game still able to pass the 600 comments count on ClanBase for a single match (EC iCTF Final).

One of its younger gametypes, BunnyTrack is another reason for UT’s retaining activity. The addictive mod is often described (besides nerve killer and concentration trainer) as UnrealTournament’s equivalent to Defrag, which is not quite accurate though, as there are some major differences. It however, discloses BT’s main focus.
