OK. The gallery has been created and we still will be fixing and adding some features. We are now collecting the albums from different events and various games, so if you guys have some interesting links to the galleries, leave a comment in this post and we will upload the gallery to the website. The features that are recently available within the gallery:

• A sidebar, with a random picture
• Pictures in the album can be shown as a list or as a slideshow
• Each picture can be zoomed by clicking on it to have a better quality
• While in slideshow, click on the picture and switch to another one by using the arrows on your keyboard

News about Intel’s ray tracing: A video, showing ray tracing expert Daniel Pohl, reveals new game scenes. This time it is Enemy Territory: Quake Wars in a ray tracing version.

The video is supposed to originate from the GDC in February 2008, but wasn’t released yet. In addition to known ray tracing scenes from the Quake 3 Engine and Quake 4 it shows a real-time rendering in Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. This scene is at the end of the video.
The water shows impressive reflections and refractions. In the water there are even reflections of an island and sunrays. The waves are improved by Bump Maps.

A gallery contains pictures of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars that were made with the classical technique of rasterizing or are based on real-time ray tracing.

This weekend the DreamHack event will take place including the ESWC qualifiers, where such players as Spart1e, ProZac, fooKi, fojji and sorax are about to battle for the trip to Grand Finals! Of course DreamHack is he major event for all Quake 1 & 2 fans, and it’s the biggest LAN tourney that keeps this games alive and entertains the community.

The unstoppable player Hypno continues his "killing spree" and takes the gold medal in EC XVII Spring. In the finals he faced Madjar - a really talanted player, that impressed many of UT3 fans. The finals were really interesting!

A wonderful post came from ClanBase: Quake 3 will be included in the summer season of EC XVII. The admins decided to switch to the CQ3 mode, while there’s a big mess with cg_xerpClients. Of course, CQ3 isn’t so popular as VQ3 mode, and has some different features like less damage from railgun, less shells and ammo for weapons etc. But still the people are signing up and in fact modes doesn’t influence on the general skill of the game. A lot of people make negative conclusions from CQ3 mode, but never played it or played for some hours.

Today a match between top1 Unreal Tournament 3 dueler - Hypno and a progressive player Madjar will be played within the EC XVII Grand Finals! Hypno didn’t lose any set during the whole tournament and all the sets he was playing in various tournament ended in his favor. He shows stable performance and seems that nothing can stop him, while he’s in shape.

Madjar lost a set to Zaccubus, but the last one gave his win to the French player and that’s where the Madjar’s "skill revival" began. First French player won vs kiLLzA and then an amazing performance versus daddy.

Grand Final Live

Few months ago, a poll for Digital Games 2008 have been announced, an each fan/player could vote for the game of his choice to appear on the event. The qualifiers will be in each continent and the finals will be held in China. Yesterday a sad information came from GGL admins, that announced the list for the event, it’s:

Ukrainian ESWC qualifiers have been announced few days ago. The UCPL organization, that was creating the KODE5 qualifiers in Ukraine and other leagues will also organize this tourney. The number of spots for each discipline is 1.

• The date of the qualifiers is 22nd of June!

ESWC Belgium info
