Carmack frees Quake - new info about Quake LiveAll the Quake community is waiting for the release of the Quake Live that is planed to appear in the end of this year. A new information appeared from gamesradar where "Godfather of deathmatch spills the beans on Quake Live and why Crysis isn’t the future of PC gaming". The questions of the dialogue between PC Gamer US and John Carmack are simple:

  • What inspired you to resurrect Quake III Arena as Quake Live?
  • Why this new direction?
  • How much of the original game has been ported?
  • How will matchmaking work?
  • What’s going to convince the existing Quake III community to make the move to Quake Live?

Hypno vs GoHLink - predictions

The 1/2 Final of EC XVII in  UT3 is dated on 3rd of June at 23:00 CET. The reporter channel is #UT3.coverage. Both of the players won all of the previous matches. Some predictions were written by Bane and H2k|sebo.

Bane:

"Time for the 2nd semi-final of this cup, which will decide who is going to play in the final against the French Madjar! It could easily become an all French final if GoHLinK manages to beat he favorite for the end victory, Hypno, but it remains to be seen what is going to happen tonight as their internet has its moodswings and connection quality can vary by the second. So no matter who is going to win tonight, Im pretty sure it will be an exciting match.

Hypno is likely to be anyone’s favorite for the end victory since the start of the cup. He went through the group stage with confidence and only lost two maps if I remember correctly. He finished first in his group, with daddy, the other semi-finalist, who lost against Madjar, in his wake. SO he conquered a strong group and made his way to the semi’s without a lot of problens, full of spirit and ready to take on any challenge that meets him ahead. And tonight he will face on of the most dangerous challenges alive in this cup as GoHLinK has proven to be lethal".
