Many players have noticed that 
Anton "Cooller" Singov wasn’t attending the last two Asus Cups. In Winter Cup he told that had some work to do, and after Spring Asus it seemed like Anton doesn’t want to play anymore. Only few days ago the final list of participants to 
ESWC Masters had appeared and we’re glad to see that Cooller is still in action!
Cooller told proplay.ru that he will be attending the ESWC Masters for sure! Also he will be attending the Russian ESWC qualifiers, but without Moscow tour. This information really boils the event - while in the participants list we can see 
czm and Zero4!
Another information is about #1 
Quake 4 player, one of the greatest dueler in 
Quake 3 - 
toxiq. He won’t be attending the ESWC Masters and ESWC qualifications. The reason of such dicision is the usage of mode CPMA instead of OSP by ESWC organization, so talanted player is taking a break. Zamuz won’t participated either but his younger brother ArrW will continue "family buiseness".

The Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars 1.5 is currently headed straight for the tubes of the internet! The Windows and Linux versions along with the upated SDK will be available this evening London time, while the folks at Aspyr are currently putting the finishing touches on the Mac version. If you want to read up on the changes and improvements included in 1.5, you can do so by way of this blog update. To round out the impending file assault, we’ll also have the final version of the Official Competition Mod available within the coming days.
As soon as the 1.5 update is ready for download, we’ll publish a list of mirrors here on the ETQW Community Site, so keep checking back!

ESWC Moscow 2008 qualifier

This weekend Moscow will hold ESWC qualifiers for Grand Finals, that will also take place in the capital of Russia. The qualifier will be from 24 to 25th of May and will cover next disciplines:
- Quake 3 Arena 1v1
WC3: TFT 1v1- DoTa 5v5
The schedule and brackets system will be announced a bit later. 
CS will be held from 31 May to 1 June. The registration will start on 23rd of May in computer centre Playground.ru.

ESWC Sweden - Q3 signups

The preliminary list of signups for the Swedish ESWC qualifiers have been released. It is nice to see that fox and fookie have returned to Quake 3 scene! Really something amazing is happening now, the new revival of Quake 3 and oldschool in action! Prelist:

ESWC USA - group stage over

ESWC qualifiers have ended last week. The list of the players had really famous names in it, like cha0ticz, Daler and others. But only 4 players could advance to the double elimination stage, and it’s:
- Shane "rapha" Hendrixson
- Brian "destrukt" Flander
- Chance "chance" Lacina
- Daniel "carnage" Sturdivant
An amazing performance showed carnage, who managed to win viju - 5th place on CPL Winter 2006. Chance eliminated cha0ticz and dkt took down Daler.
EDL - the play-offs are ready to start!

The last match that actually ended the groups stage of EDL was Question vs Wh3nom - where the Czech player just gave the win to his opponent, so we won’t see some demos and report from this game. Yesterday the play-offs bracket was made by Legie, and we can start predicting the games. The schedule is announced, so you can watch the games on GTV.
Today at 20:00 BST Quake Nations Cup will hold a game between Czech Republic and Sweden.
The lineups:
- Sweden: ProZaC, Spartie, fox and zyvve
- Czech Republic: Krysa, Tyfoon, SpyD3R and Wh3nom

The tourney Quake Expo is dedicated to all Quake series and is not a tourney for gamers… but for map, modes, skins makers and for all fans of Quake history. The tourney is a virtual conference, where each player makes his own virtual project to demonstrate for Quake auditory. The tourney will take place in August and will last 11 days. It is a great pleasure to see that Quake series are popular among different age categories and nationalities. Quake isn’t dead and Quake Expo will try to show that the auditory of the Quake fans is huge and various.
