Quake Voltage

After Hypno took the golden cup winning Madjar in the finals, a last match that had to end the first season of EuroCup XVII was a bronze match daddy vs GoHLink. The predictions were written before the match by Bane, who said the following:

"After the big final is played, we are left with the bronze final, the one that will decide who will walk away with €50,- of vouchers! After daddy and GoHLinK lost to Madjar and hypno, they will now face each other in the final bout of this 1v1 Duel tournament. It will mean closure for us sups and you people will have to find your fix at 4K and their 1v1 tournament for the summer. Back to the game however, two talented players will are going to be squaring off leaving only one winner.

daddy lost pretty convcingly against a rather strong Madjar, who then went and lost the final against a superior hypno. GoHLinK faced the Portugese terror one round earlier and met his demise there. Even though both players lost, we know that their skill level surpasses that of most out there in the scene and that this match is going to be one with fireworks. If UT3.Coverage & quadV are going to pick up a cast we will be able to follow these players as they fight it out in the last war of the cup.

The predictions for this war are that GoHLinK, if trained, would be a slight favorite for me. Looking at the success of UT3 and the lack of activity and the lack of involvement from my side make it hard for me to really rate these players against each other. If either worked their trunks of their asses they could get an edge over the opponent and take the win, but I guess the form of the day and the time invested are going to make out who will win this match. As for maps, we won’t have to think for a second what map daddy will take, but GoHLinKs choice cound very well depend on the result of daddy on other maps. Let’s quit the chattering for now and enjoy this fight!"

Now let’s hope it’s not the end of cooperation between ClanBase and UT3 fans. This season proved a big potential and interest in the game among players and this will probably influence on the admins decisions to include the game into the next season. Time will show =)
