Quake Voltage

The last weekend Netherlands held the ESWC qualifiers. Back then oldschool player if-22 took the first place, winning Vo0 in the finals. However, Vo0 is still going to the ESWC Grand Finals - the decision of ESWC is to give a second spot, but the player has to pay the airfare and the whole trip.

Ivo "Forever" Lindhout stated on GameLux, that this episode isn’t fair at all. Forever did not attent the event, because he didn’t know there was a second prize:

"…It all started when Vo0 was given a 1st seed in Quake 3 Arena while he hasn’t achieved anything in Quake 3 Arena… Vo0 may have preformed well in Pain Killer but that has nothing to do with Quake 3 Arena…This is all sad, if GameLux announced this 1 or 2 weeks in advance…Then there was no problem…I find it sad that an organisation announces a second spot 5 days AFTER the event…"
